Fleet & technology

Purpose-built thinking. Field-ready operations.

Reliable field operations require more than a suitable drilling rig. The equipment configuration, maintenance arrangements, supporting tools and availability of technical assistance all influence the work. Our engineering approach considers these elements as parts of the same operation.

01

Surface rigs

Surface drilling arrangements must respond to the ground, access and the intended hole program. Equipment selection also needs to account for safe positioning, handling requirements and the support available at the site.

02

Underground rigs

Underground work places particular demands on access, working space and coordination with mine operations. The proposed rig and supporting arrangements must be reviewed against those constraints before the scope is confirmed.

03

RC equipment

RC equipment is considered together with the air supply and sample collection system. The appropriate configuration depends on the formation, water conditions and the requirements of the agreed sampling program.

04

Support equipment

The equipment around the rig is essential to everyday continuity. Pumps, handling arrangements, transport and other support needs should be considered in relation to the selected method and site conditions.

05

Workshop capability

Workshop support connects maintenance with practical equipment development. Access to components, ease of servicing and feedback from the field are important considerations when reviewing how equipment can better serve the operation.

06

Preventive maintenance

Planned inspection and servicing help identify developing issues before they disrupt the work. Maintenance arrangements should reflect equipment requirements, operating conditions and the practical opportunities available within the program.

07

Spare-parts readiness

A useful spare-parts plan starts with the equipment selected for the job. Component needs, supply lead times and the location of the operation should be reviewed together to reduce exposure to avoidable delays.

08

Engineering improvement

Experience at the rig provides a valuable basis for improvement. We consider feedback on handling, reliability and maintenance when reviewing equipment and working arrangements, with attention to both operational usefulness and safety.

Operational capability

Performance is a system.

Sustained drilling progress depends on the relationship between people, equipment and the site. Careful preparation, coordinated shifts and timely maintenance help limit avoidable interruptions. Our approach is to consider these responsibilities together, with equal attention to production, sample quality and safe working conditions.
